THD Webinars in June
In June THD organized 8 online courses dedicated to different diagnostic and surgical procedures.
In June THD organized 3 webinars dedicated to the THD® Doppler surgical technique held by Dr. Giordano and Dr. Lienert, 2 webinars on Pelvic Floor Ultrasound Imaging held by Dr. La Torre, 2 webinars on Clinical Anorectal Manometry held by Prof. Emanuel Cavazzoni and Dr. Alex Leo and 1 webinar on High Resolution Anoscopy by Prof. Emanuel Cavazzoni.
During the 3 webinars dedicated to the THD® Doppler for Anolift procedure, 2 of them addressed to foreign surgeons and 1 to Italian ones, Dr. Pasquale Giordano and Dr. Mark Lienert explored the technical steps of the THD® Doppler method and presented the THD® Anolift technique. The recent clinical evolution has allowed THD® Doppler method to reaffirm its prominent role in treating all degrees of haemorrhoids with a minimally invasive approach. The attendees were able to appreciate the cornerstones of the THD® method, focused on the correction of arterial hyperflow and prolapse.
During the courses on endoanal ultrasound imaging, 1 addressed to Italian surgeons and 1 to foreign ones, Dr. Marco La Torre illustrated the features of endoanal ultrasound imaging of the pelvic floor and its different applications. Dr. La Torre showed the advantages of this examination performed with THD® EAUS ultrasonic probe that allows for a complete and detailed view of the pelvic floor and sphincter muscles.
Still in June, Prof. Emanuel Cavazzoni and Dr. Alex Leo focused on Clinical Anorectal Manometry for the precise assessment of the anal sphincters and rectum functionality. On 2 different webinars they presented the basic steps of this examination performed with THD® Anopress, the portable anorectal manometer with a dedicated software and single-use probes designed to be used in combination with it.
Prof. Emanuel Cavazzoni also explored High Resolution Anoscopy and its different applications during a dedicated webinar. The course focused on the identification of anal intraepithelial lesions and their marking with acetic acid and Lugol, biopsies, assessment of the degree of dysplasia, electrosurgical treatment and precise mapping of lesions as well as on digital archiving for visual comparison of lesions and subsequent follow-up.
Also this month THD Webinars registered a high participation rate with the attendance of 70 surgeons from different countries.
